Bio
Jeff and Sabrina Grew up in very different settings. Sabrina in the big city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Jeff on the country side of Memphis, TN. Both had a passion for the arts and pursued a MFA where thy met in 2000 at the University of Florida. After graduation Sabrina and Jeff started what is now one of the most successful photography studios in Gainesville, FL, JS Photography. Briefly stepping away from the fine art and academic world allowed them to gain experience in commercial photography while mastering skills needed to be successful at business and art. Their current 2500 sq ft store front studio rests snuggly on one of the prime roads of the city. They produce fine art portraiture in a high end commercial setting.
Almost every night after the children are all tucked away in bed Jeff and Sabrina step into their fine art studio and create their collaborative art work. The pieces they are currently working on titled "The American Dream Series" began in 2008 and is expected to have 12 pieces completed by the fall of 2010.
"Crossing over from the commercial world to the fine art world has been something that very few people ever get to experience. Most fine art photographers despise commercial photography and most commercial photographers have no idea what to think about fine art photography or what is even current. This is unfortunate because we feel that both styles of photography can complement each other. Unfortunately we end up having to play the role of when in Rome act like a Roman.
